Patriotism on Parade, 4th of July Thank You to 1st Responders
Last year’s Independence Day celebration in Weston was unlike any other. The coronavirus epidemic prevented all of us from our usual, wonderful celebrations. Gone were crowds at the park, fireworks, and the usual parade.
The citizens of Weston, however, were not going to let the day pass without a celebration. Hundreds of Westonians took to the streets, safely socially distanced, inside vehicles decorated to the max with our National colors of red, white, and blue. Everyone honked and cheered as the procession past each Weston Fire Station and the BSO service center, thanking the on-duty firefighters and deputies for keeping us safe.
