AYSO Region 644 Soccer
Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. It is no wonder that our readers so respect the local branch of the American Youth Soccer Organization. Over the past twenty years, the club has grown from just 300 youth players to approximately 3,750 payers today.
The core to AYSO soccer is its six philosophies: Everyone plays, balanced teams, open registration, positive coaching, good sportsmanship, and player development. There are programs available for players of all ages and skill levels. There is even an adult league for men and women interested in staying fit while having fun.
AYSO has two distinct soccer seasons, one in the fall, which runs from early September through early December, and a second season which runs from early February through mid-May. They also offer a developmental program, AYSO Select, as an enhancement to the core program. Select teams (for the U7 division on up) train, develop, and participate in AYSO State Games, AYSO National Games, and other select soccer tournaments throughout Florida. There is also a VIP (Very Important Player) program for emotionally and physically challenged individuals.
