Weston World Fest has once again been recognized as the Best Cultural Event in town. That’s not surprising when you consider it celebrates our community’s cultural diversity.
This year’s program was one of the last to “sneak in” before the coronavirus lockdown. It featured more than 20 booths representing the homelands of Weston residents. Patrons could “travel the globe” experiencing the culture and heritage of various countries from Cuba and Costa Rica to Singapore and Indonesia. Each booth offered cultural displays and hands-on activities. The Passport Challenge added to the educational aspect of the event.
Weston World Fest also exposed guests to the tastes and sounds of different countries. Entertainment included everything from Chinese instrumentalists to Brazilian vocalists and an American jazz band. Local restaurants served up samples of authentic international cuisine.
